On the OSCE, you will encounter a series of interactive and non-interactive “stations” designed to simulate common and critical practical scenarios in pharmacy practice. These scenarios often involve interactions with standardized patients, caregivers, parents, or healthcare professionals.
Our course prepares you to navigate these scenarios with confidence, providing the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the examination and real-world pharmacy practice. Our course emphasizes effective application strategies, ensuring readiness to navigate the challenges of the OSCE exam with confidence and proficiency.

To qualify for the PEBC exams, you need a degree in pharmacy from a recognized program and must have your educational credentials evaluated, if you have graduated outside of Canada.
Week 1: Introduction to OSCE & Communication Skills Session
Week 2: Mastering OSCE References Session – How to effectively use the OSCE exam material and references AND Sample Cases.
Week 3: Introduction to OSCE References
Week 4: Introduction of OSCE Management
Week 5: Cardiovascular System Cases: Drug-Drug interactions, Drug-Herbal interactions, Patient Education on lifestyle and cardiovascular health, Doctor’s Stations (inquires, clinical questions), Patient Counseling on new medications, Profile reviews and Non-Interactive Statin.
Week 6: Central Nervous System Cases (CNS): Drug-therapy problems, Drug-Drug interactions, Drug-Herbal interactions, Eary refills, Dispensing Errors and Pharmacy Management scenarios, Patient Education & Follow-ups, Side-effects, Drug Levels Monitoring and Dose Adjustments, New Medication Counseling AND Patient Care Plan and therapeutic alternatives. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 7: Respiratory System & Smoking Cessation Cases: Doctor’s Recommendations, antibiotic treatment choices for different respiratory tract infections, Asthma & COPD: exacerbations management, inhaler device technique, Asthma-Action Plan, COPD management (lifestyle & step-up therapies), URTI assessment (red flags, symptoms) and management (OTC & Rx), Minor Ailment Cases. Smoking Cessation: Assessment and Stages of Change/Readiness to Quit, NRT Products, Non-NRT treatment options. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 8: Musculoskeletal Cases: Minor Ailment Cases, Assessment of different musculoskeletal conditions (pain management, location, other symptoms, red flags and referrals), Patient Education on Lifestyle, Pain Management, NSAID’s, opioids & other analgesics use, Drug-Drug Interactions, Side-effects (including management and follow-up), Patient-Care Plan. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 9: Infectious Diseases & Sexual Health: Antibiotic prescribing (recommendations), Minor Ailments and OTC consultations, Assessment of URTI symptoms, red flags and OTC products. Sexual Health (treatment and prevention, patient care plan, review of various products), Non-pharmacological measures for different conditions, Recommendations to doctors, patient counseling. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 10: Dermatology & Skin Conditions Cases: Minor Ailment Cases & Assessment of various skin conditions (symptoms, characterization, distribution & red flags), Counseling on new medications and/or products, Patient Education (lifestyle, use of acne products, moisturizers, … etc.), New Rx Counseling, Alternative treatment options, Doctor’s Stations and Antibiotic Treatment Options. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 11: Diabetes Management Cases: Patient Education & Lifestyle Optimization, Medication Reviews & Profile Update, Target BG’s levels, Patient Assessment & Drug-Therapy Problems, Insulin Initiation & Adjustment, Oral anti-hyperglycemic agents counseling and review, Various Cases (Diabetes Complications, Patient-Care Plans), Drug-Drug Interactions & hypoglycemia management. Non-Interactive Station.
Week 12: GIT & Genitourinary System Cases: Minor Ailment Cases (assessment and recommendation), Drug-Drug Interactions, Patient Assessment for OTC Consultations (symptoms, duration, red flags and referrals), Patient Education (lifestyle, prescription counseling), OTC products use, Doctor’s Stations (treatment choices, antibiotic treatment durations and follow-up). Non-Interactive Station.
Week 13: Miscellaneous Topics, Non-Interactive Stations and Review
